This coating reduces friction between the wire and the stent and assists in the formation of with the tissue. The coating reduces the likelihood of microbes forming a bond with the wires. A novel nanocomposite-based metal coating that has been that is impregnated with inorganic fullerene like tungsten disulfide nanospheres. The material was modified using the sol gel film dipping method. The shapes of the wires determined using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The film has a clear continuous coating.
